This is not a New Year’s post. I’m not going to tell you all about how I’m full of creative energy and intention, ready to transform my life, or that I want to read more this year (75 books), or that my word of the year is NOURISH, or that I just really want get more sleep, wake up earlier, and invest in the relationships that really matter to me. Maybe there will be another post with all of that reflective, digging deep stuff. This post is just to say THANK YOU.
This is for my clients and friends who trusted me to SEE their life. All you families who invited me into your homes and let me see your REAL, your unstaged, beautiful, messy, normal lives, and wanted me to capture them so you can hold onto theses days just a bit longer. All you brides and grooms who told me your love story, and then let me tell it back to you in pictures. I don’t take this for granted. I know photography is an investment, and I know my clients see the value of capturing life beautifully, keeping the story and the details alive for future generations. It is important work and I love to do it.
Photography is writing light. Thank you for letting me write the story of light in your life. This is a collection of some of my favorite images from the past year. They may not be the BEST, per se. They may not be technically perfect, But they move me and I love them. There are hundreds more that I love, and a whole blog post worth of personal work that I will share soon. But for now, enjoy these images from my absolutely fabulous clients. You know who you are. Thank you. Enjoy my favorites of 2016.
