It’s quite an honor when friends hire me to take their family portraits. It’s an even greater honor when they hire me again. I love this family and have been blessed to watch it grow over the years. In numbers, but also in love and wisdom and faith. We were sad when they left Tacoma, but we got to catch a glimpse of their new adventure in such a magical place- Vashon Island. It’s a simpler, slower life, one that involves intentional building of community, co-housing, and lots and lots of trees. Our family got to spend part of the weekend on the island with the Sacketts and their lovely housemates and co-dreamers, the Wells family. We shared an incredible sushi feast, sat around the fire telling riddles, and prayed that the windstorm wouldn’t knock down any of those GIGANTIC TREES!
Thank you Sacketts, for another year of memories made and captured. Your life is beautiful just the way it is.
PS- Check out their first session with me over a year ago here.
Jess…you are a blessing and a joy to us. Your work inspires me to reflect on God’s goodness…keep on shootin’ woman!
