A home filled with books, poetry and music- these are some of my favorite things. This home is full of those and even more good things: fresh raspberries, chalk art in the backyard, baseball, hammocks, a sweet old dog. The Newport family is at such a sweet spot in life with their three kids, their beautiful plot of land, their warm, inviting home. I loved getting to hang out with them for a summer afternoon. And this is the third session in a row within walking distance of my own home! More of that please. The Newport family began a fantastic organization called Kidical Mass and they organize monthly bike rides for kids and families. Being a big cycling family ourselves (for sport, commuting, and recreation) I’m delighted that they are literally taking to the streets and trying to educate kids and families about bike safety. It’s my favorite way to get from point A to point B, and only a family with a sense of play can really embrace it like they have. Oh, and check out how distinct looking each of their beautiful kids are- hair in every color! Thank you, Newports! So nice to be your neighbor.
