One of my favorite Christmas memories growing up was going to a tree farm to cut down a tree. I remember muddy rows, tractor rides out to the fields, big thermoses of hot cider and free candy canes. Free candy canes! That’s the best part to a kid. I think mine would agree. We always got the biggest one we could find, because our tree went into our living room which had 12 foot ceilings. I loved that. I hope our kids hold these memories sweetly as they grow older and someday have their own traditions. It was such a beautiful northwest day. I don’t even think anybody had a meltdown. Bonus.
